Freshman QB Major Curry Impresses at Both 9th Grade and JV Levels

Major Curry – Class of 2029 (G9) Week 0 Debut

202526 Season | Week 0 Scrimmage vs Belton High School

Major Curry wasted no time making his presence felt. Taking the first reps with the 9th-grade squad, he engineered two consecutive scoring drives that immediately set the tone. Then, when moved over to the JV side of the scrimmage, Major Curry looked just as comfortable and just as effective—stringing together drives and finishing in the end zone as if the level of competition hadn’t changed at all.

By the end of the night, the freshman QB had passed for over 100 yards and led four total touchdown drives across both units.

What stood out wasn’t just the production, but how he did it. Major Curry put on an “angle-breaking clinic”—calmly evading, baiting, and breaking down would-be pass rushers in the pocket. Using his speed, he consistently extended plays without panicking or looking to run at the first sign of pressure.

He showed poise beyond his years, standing tall and delivering strikes with defenders in his face, while also flashing his dual-threat ability when needed. Confident, composed, and unfazed by the jump in competition, Major Curry looks every bit the quarterback you build a program around.
