ABOUT SKILL MOVES.
On offense, Skill Moves are used by:
- Blockers to keep a defender’s hands off of them.
- Blockers to keep defenders at bay and 2:2.
- Receivers to beat the press off the line.
- Receivers to keep a defender’s hands off them throughout the route.
- Ball Carriers to assist in breaking and avoiding tackles.
OLINE.
Offensive linemen can benefit considerably from Hand Games v2 (HG). With Hand Games v2, lineman can master the concept of Power over Strength and start owning even the most elite defensive lineman.
RECEIVERS.
Receivers should master Hand Games (HG), Ripping (R), and the Vader (V).
Typically, you see receivers faking and shaking off the line. But when running routes, your job isn’t just about getting open, it’s about getting open before the D-Line can get to your QB. That and, what’s the point of all of that faking and shaking a DB, if the defense is playing zone?
On top of that, pressing is blocking. The longer it takes you to get off the block, the more time the D-Line has to get to your QB. So instead of wasting time faking and shaking, master these skill moves to get into your route, and open quicker.
BALL CARRIERS.
Any offensive player who ever gets the ball in his hands should master the Spin (S) and the Stiff Arm (SA).
BULL RUSH.
To Bull Rush, simply explode out (attack stance) and drive through defender 1:3 or 3:1.

HAND GAMES.
Hand Games v1 is great for receivers fighting through the press off the line or keeping a defender’s hands off them during the route.
HAND GAMES2.
Hand Games2 is great for Blockers who want to shut down even the best pass rushers.
Essentially, you become the opponent on the left (in the HG videos above) and continuously shoot your hands into your opponent’s center mass while chopping to stay 2:2 or working your opponent backward. In doing this, you are executing Power over Strength.
Typically, you will see lineman blocking with their hands extended. The problem with extending your arms to block is you cannot create Power. That and, when your arms are extended you’re relying on Strength alone to do a job it’s incapable of doing.

RIP.
Hit. Rip. Drop.
MISDIRECT RIP.
*If the defender does not bit on the misdirect, simply RIP through. Do not go back across the defenders face.
VADER.
VADER SLASH.
SPIN.
Spinning is highly effective when used correctly. The problem is, most athletes misuse it to unsatisfactory results. To Spin correctly:
- Spin only to break your opponent’s angle.
- Spin on and around your opponent, not away from them.
- Every step of the spin should provide forward movement.

STIFF ARM.
To Properly Stiff Arm:
- Load Stiff Arm back like you are performing a Standing Bench.
- With an open palm, explode your Stiff Arm into your opponent.
- Immediately reload.
If You Don’t Properly Stiff Arm:
- Your opponent will grab your stiff arm and attempt to pull you down with it.
- You won’t create enough power for it to be effective.
- You’ll increase the chances of injury.
